You will be pleasantly supprised at how easy this plane is to fly...it floats around real nice and lands slow and easy...I know a few guys said it was tough to...

I try and use packs large enough packs that I can fly about 8-9 minutes and still have about 50% left in the pack so I can put it right back on the charger and be ready in 12-15 minutes.

Yea..skids really only work well on grass...this will definataly be a different style from all my other planes that I have right now.

Sounds good Pete...I fly almost all WW1 planes and prefer tail skids on our grass field ...one nice thing about skids is they are real light which is key on tail heavy WW1 birds

Please don't misunderstand me guys...not trying to tell anybody how to build thier plane...this is just what I've seen work and will be building mine this way.

The bolt going into the strut and around the bolt head and the Z shaped wire going into the strut on the other end and all the set screws and stuff...basically every where just to make the strut one...

Well...here was the problem with the one of these that we have at our field....the forks were turning and the strut would turn up at the wing until we JB welded them on both ends..that was a quick,...

There's one at our flying field (grass) been flying it for years with the wires connected to the spats no problem.
You don't pull them real tight...just enough so there is no slack.

Hi Maneba,not sure about the HK version but if you Velcro the struts to the wheel pants on the Seagull Geebee the struts won't be able to work.

The flying wires are just for aesthetics...in fact they are more of a hinder if connected to the struts...better off connecting them to the wheel pants to help keep them from moving around....at...

I would stick with the inflatables...this plane has allot of wing...allot of other guys are using them with no weight issues...they really help on landing.

I think I'm just going to JB weld the crap out of mine. :) JB weld is amazing!
For anybody that has not worked with oleo style struts before...calming down the rebound is key... ie use thick...
