Flew mine for over a decade. Great barnstormer and always a pleasure to land. DLE 30 with a 20x6 prop. Sadly, the covering delaminated and peeled of in large strips. Love to have another one, bit...

Mine is balanced near 4.75-5.00" back. It climbs a little when inverted. Lands so nice it's one of my long-term favorites. Highly, highly recommend you use differential on the ailerons. I use 3 times...

I placed the larger fuel tank where the pilot used to sit. The bigger prop I use allows for better slow-speed pulling and full throttle is only used for vertical climbs. Zenoahs like to turn up so I...

I ended up putting a larger tank in mine as well. Got tired of the dead-stick landings! I used to have to replace the water in the roller we use at out field every Spring as well. It was a lot of...

I've had mine since the second version was released (10 years ago?). It remains one of my all time favorites. DLE 30, Bowman ring, stock muffler and a Master Airscrew 20x6. Originally had a 12 ounce...

Try some different props. Master Airscrew props are durable, but far from the best option. Try Xoar for one. Also, different sizes and pitch.

I can understand that! I'm not much of a cold weather flyer. 60 degrees is my minimum operating range.

If you have the desire to try something different, please try a 20x6. Master Airscrew sells a wooden version with the tips already painted yellow. The big prop looks great and the vertical...

I've got one of the original DLE 30's in mine. The version with the side-draft carb. I'm running a large prop for a 30; a 20x6 wide blade. Pulls like a mule but doesn't really build up much speed....

Break the engine in on the plane in the air. The plane flies like a dream. Mine is nearly 8 years old and a go-to favorite.

Mine's still going strong with a DLE 30 side-intake and a 20x6 prop. Only damage has been wheel pants, which have been replaced.

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

I run mine with a DLE 30 turning a 20x6 wood prop. Realistic performance and soiunds great. I can't speak to it's prop-hang ability as that has no appeal to me. The 20 will fly it fine though.

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

There's plenty of room in the T-craft for a DLE 30. It's what I have in mine with a factory muffler. It would fly fine with the 20, however. Decide which plane you would have more fun with in an...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

No camera available, but the DLE 30 I have is the older, side-draft version so the linkage setup is basically the same as the Zenoah.

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

My T-Craft is about 4 or 5 years old. I really enjoy the plane a lot. I use the biggest diameter prop the engine is comfortable with and 6 inches of pitch. In this case it's a DLE 30 and a MA 20x6...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

I used the old side-draft version so I don't think a picture would be of much use as most everybody else uses the rear-intake, newer version. However, next time my wife sets her camera down, I'll do...
