RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

I agree. Tearing up the Taylorcraft to fit a radial ???

This Aero Works Cessna 195 would be the perfect candidate for a big radial. http://www.aero-works.net/store/detail.aspx?ID=396

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

I believe you are getting different dimensional measurements from side-to-side due to the fact the firewall usually has some right thrust already built in. It may also have a small amount of...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

Those pictures are from a set Harold Hanson had taken for me. He mailed me the set after I contacted him 8-9 years ago. The yellow TCraft in the background is also Harold's.

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

Jim Moss did indeed build this particular Taylorcraft. Hanger 9 then decided to model it about 8-9 years ago.

When I put together my early Hanger 9 model about 8-9 years ago, I contacted Harold...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

You're correct about firewalls. In general, they are usually thick enough, but the thickness is usually not the problem. On most ARF's the problem is the poor fit (small air gaps) between the wood...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

Hello Pat,

No, I never received any 3-views from Mr. Hanson when I did my original Hanger 9 Taylorcraft about 8-9 years ago.

Mr. Hansons' full-scale Taylorcraft was fabricated by renowned...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

I just checked out the Hanger 9 review video. Didn't realize the new Taylorcraft is smaller than the older first version (86" vs. 80"). Hanger 9 claims they made the new version a little smaller to...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

Here's some pictures of the logos (decals) that came with my 9 year old Hanger 9 Taylorcraft. Apparently Mr. Jim Moss, the builder of Harold's full-scale Taylorcraft, uses these logos on some of his...

RE: It's here and Looks GOOD new Hangar 9 Taylorcraft

This is how I handled the dual elevator problem on my 9-year-old Hanger 9 Taylorcraft. I used a Central Hobbies bellcrank. One less servo to worry about.

Don't know if it will work on the new...
