Rick Bell showed me how to fly a Taylorcraft to it's full potential. Rick powered his with a Saito 125, plenty of power for all these maneuvers.

I decided the engine is just fine where it is. Any higher and I'd need to cut the blind nuts, and I'd be right at the edge of the firewall. I filed the cowl holes some and now the prop shaft and cowl...

Yes, I wasn't sure that bend would work, but Sullivan's Golden Rod is really amazing. It seems to be working fine, little added resistance.

Finally got a chance to remount the G26. I added a new throttle arm on the top of the carb, so had to reroute the throttle cable. I'm still not happy with the location, it needs to go up another 3/8...

The cowl was cut before I got it. The real crime is that the person who cut the cowl charged my friend $150. I believe he is planning to order a new one, so cut twice is the reality on this one.

This is the Taylorcraft with the Zenoah G26. Ed mounted it with the G20 standoff's, but as you can see, it's a bit too long. The G26 is 19mm longer than the G20, so a 9mm standoff would be better. We...
