I found this pictures today among some of Ed's personal photographs. Some were taken aboard what appears to be an aircraft carrier, dated in August of 1963.

I no longer have the Taurus, it is now at the AMA Museum. However I have viewed my pictures again and as well has my recollection and I do not believe there was any tape in those locations.

I have 2 pictures that were in Ed's personal collection. One is of the MAN cover, the 2nd is a caricature of Ed, same stance, perhaps this is the one that was used in advertising.

That may very well be. The fuselage of the 2nd Taurus is narrower then the 1st, not as chunky. The stabilizer on the 2nd is considerably thicker then the 1st.

clarification:
The Blue Playboy Bunny sticker is on both sides, at least it is on the plane i am holding in my hands.

I can confidently say that these were the only 2 Taurus Planes at Ed's home. There are other interesting items from his R/C days, but not Taurus related. And with respect to the forums rules...
