Hi All, in regards to the throttle stop screw that holds the barrel in, i decided to try and temper the scew by heat treating it to see if i could harden screw and make it last longer so it does not...

yes i think i know what you mean, i had a 12x3.75 on an o.s. 50 and it spooled up real nice and quick! not to mention it was also getting 12600 rpm!

i did make my last screw out of a hardened machine screw that i grinded down then made just long enough that i can tighten the screw all the way and it doesn't restrict barrel movement. it is still...

i dont know exactly what is causing screw to wear away, but do you think it's possible that the spring inside carby, constantly putting pressure on the barrel rubbing on screw from vibration is...

Thanks micheal! i did use the red silicon on intake tube. screw has been turned in every direction till it was just about worn completly away! this is my third screw!

does anyone know of a way to reduce the wear on the screw that holds the carby barrle in onthe .82? mine keeps wearing away and effecting the tune as it wears. after 6 flights it has worn about half...

fixed my engine! went to hobby shop to buy ball links, while there i checked the play on the saito's there in the throttle arm. they did not have much play! went home and checked mine and found that...

i have the extreme flight extra also! just got it and have not flown it yet. this is what my .82 is on. i mouted the rudder servo and elevator servo in the back of plane for balance and put the rec....

what about using ball links for the connections? i use ball links on my dl-50 cause that is also sensitive around idle and it works great! might have to do a simular setup on the saito! any thoughts?

i think i may also try a 15x4w on the .82. i like the lower pitch props on my other planes as i find it easier to hover etc. i find with a 6 there is less "grey" area if you know what i mean. either...

michealh, thanks for that reply, i think what you said makes sense! i was doing a blender and came very close to ground, as i went to slowly throttle out she died on me! had to do a belly wack...

w8ye, do you think you can shed some light on tuning? i have followed saito information web site tuning guide, i can keep leaning low end almost till it quits and still get good throttle transition....

well igot got the cline reg to fit on my saito .82 which i was having tuning problems with, that turned out to be the exhaust i was using( 12mm flex pipe from saito) no matter what i did, i could not...
