RE: Ed Kazmirski's Taurus

Richard,

Take a look at the CL Precision Aerobatics forums. The top guys use carbon veil over the entire structure of the model. They don't add unneeded weight.

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

Ask Rusty (he's over on RCG). He said something about that being what they did to him at one point.

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

I've been getting huge numbers of database error messages from RCU the past few weeks.

I took a look and see that Cees posted to his thread this morning, but what I can see ends with Capt Dan...

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

Could it perhaps belong to one of the pilots in the photo? The guy on Ed's right seems to be centered on the photo, behind the model, and has a more-special look on his face than the others.

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

Duane,

When you put those doublers on, did you let the glue dry first and then use heat to bond them, or did you just make a wet-glue sandwich?

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

I'll betcha those cracks in the parking lot are over the same seam where Ed positioned his plane.

Then again, knowing IL, they probably haven't re-paved the parking lot since Ed shot those pix!...

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

Great report, Duane. Michael and I flew a few times together back in NJ. His club used to host a float fly twice a year, always on a cold and windy day :) I think the last year they had it we...

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

Enter that number into the search bar on the world's biggest auction/flea market site. It could also be found by searching at the same site for "Taurus Giant Scale RC Kit New in Box"

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

I work with a guy who was a military air traffic controller. Probably the only enlisted guy who can tell an officer where to go and get away with it.

I think he's just pulling our legs. We're still waiting on that other announcement.

Come on, Duane, we gave you way more than 3 minutes this time ;)

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

Duane,

You should make a chart showing all the similarities and differences between the models. You seem to have come upon most of the info and documented it in this thread. Items of dispute...

A Goldberg Falcon 56 as a prize. That's nice!

Anybody real the old timer column in the Aug Flying Models? This crew here (especially you, Duane) might like it.

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus

Actually, I think the fuse top is mostly flat. If you look at the first photo, you can see from the glare that the top is relatively flat over most of the top, rounding for the spinner and under the...

Cees,

You need more lessons in English. He didn't "learn" anybody, but he may have "taught" them. When we talking of learning, it is coming from the outside into the direct object (think of it...

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus
