FDL (cont)))
A 'few' (one side of show center) of the planes at the flyin!
Other side of show center.
Peter Goldsmith (Mr. top gun for this year) was at the flyin. A very nice person. I was the 'fly on the wall' while he was talking to Evo about building/competing for 'top gun'.
No ARF here, all built of wood. Around a 10' WS.
Getting ready for Dawn Patrol for noon show.

Thanks, Lee.
I'll be there.

Needed that!
Spent the bulk of the day cleaning and organizing the shop.
On my hands and knees vacuuming the floor with the shop vac.
Planes in the hanger:
Ziroli 92" P-47. Needs stars-n-stripes but has 4 flights.
TF ARF P-47.
This area was a real mess. All the airplane 'stuff' has been moved into the house's spare bedroom, alias hobby shop supplies.
Rack for airplanes.
Top front: 1/3 scale Nieuport 28.
Top back: Ziroli F9F.
Middle front: one Phoenix 95" spit with fuse destroyed.
Middle back: one new/in the box Phoenix 95" spit: spring project.
Floor front: Ziroli F4U in the bones: probably next summer.
Floor back: Blown up 110" P-47: sold.
Ziroli SBD whose motor won't run and after, only, 10 years of running, probably 100 flights a year!
Trailer stocking:
Top front: TF arf F4U.
Top back: shrunk down Ziroli F6F to TF size.
Bottom back: Ziroli F6F.
Spare bedroom:
Ziroli P-51 in the bones. Been building this for about 10 years (I'm a radial engine guy!)
Ziroli C-45 twin beachcraft full kit with gear/scale wheels, FG/plastic parts and engines.
Had one of these but sold it as it was 20 years old and figure that would motivate me to build a new one. Always enjoyed flying her but shrinking down the fleet so will, probably, sell her.
BVM F-86 that I plan on selling.
Was wasting a lot of time finding screws scattered in all these pie pans.
Went to Harbor Freight and got some nice organizers and spent a few hours getting all the screws in 'their right place'.
I'll be there.

Sept 19-21: Fall classic at LMACKY in Lexington, Ky
Miles: 110.
Around a 700' runway plus grass.
A general flyin including all kinds of airplanes.
This is the first of 3 different flyins that I'm attending, this w/e. This one was Friday.
High stakes gambling!
