Default Problem with Cortex Pro Setup

Hi guys
Hope someone can help me.
I have a Carf Viper with JR 28X on Xbus that has dozens of flights. For the gear I have a Jet Tronic 2 way valve.
I installed the Cortex Pro Gyro using the 2 Serial Input and Output. Did the learning signal procedure, then teached the ail-elev-rudd, every thing ok till now.
The problem is that with the transmitter on, and the gear switch in the down position, when I turn on the receivers, inmediatly the gear goes up, even before the gyro has innitialized. I cycle the TX gear switch, the gear comes down and everything is ok again.
Its as if on power up, when the gyro is between the Rxs and the powerbox, a signal is sent to the gear valve, that makes the gear go up, even if the switch in the TX is in the down position. Cycling the gear switch everything is normal again.

Any body know how can I fix this problem? Have tried several things, but nothing seems to work.
Thanks in advance

Regards
Eduardo

That is not happening on my Jeti.....same sort of setup

Have you try doing the learn with the gear being disconnected from the RX?

Hi Daniel

Yes, tried that.
Also changed the gear from channel 5 to channel 14. Same problem.

This can happen on some valves and servos. It’s caused by a slight delay between when the device is powered on and when the control signal arrives. Try redoing the connections on the valve so that the down line is on the what is now the “ up” side. This will keep the gear down when the valve cycles.

Did you try rebinding the Rxers to the Txer with the gear switch in the down position? You did not mention which PBox you have. Maybe the PBox's failsafe is set at the gear up setting.
Later/more complex versions of PBox have their own failsafe settings.

Once PBox programming is figured out, the internal PBox gyro programming is easy.

Hi guys

I've been told that I should to the learning process again but making sure the gear channel failsafe is not on hold (it is on hold now).
If that doesn't work I'll do what F1 Rocket is suggesting.
Len I have the JR redundant RX hub (don't know the model number).
Will try these things next weekend, an report how did it go.
Thanks very much for your replies.

Tried the learning process with the gear without hold in Didn’t work
To fix it I finally did what F1 Rocket suggested, swaped the air tubing in the valve and reversed the gear channel.
Now when I power on the airplane, the signal to the gear is down, so everything is ok.
Don’t know why this happened but I was able to fix in mechanically instead of electronically.

Thanks to all that replied
Regards
