I noticed that the ARXL has the same kind of problem as Jeti Assist has..

Turbine noice induced harmonic issue. When going up from idle throttle to higher rpms the noise generated by turbine causes gyro to flap elevators up and down. A very fast elevator slap actually and easily seen and replicated when doing engine runs on the ground.

So there goes that gyro too. In this the problem is actually worse as you cannot cover the unit with foam due it being also a power supply= needing cooling air.

Its also on quite critical frequency area , as when you approach and fiddle with throttle just above idle it happens..

Bummer.

i have had this issue to some extent with any type of gyro i used over the years, the good news is that once flight dynamics kick in (model is flying, gyro is working, acoustics is different) - i never noticed it having any effect of my flights.

I noticed this problem in my Rebel classic. I tried to construct construct a foam box and other methods to filter out the noise but it did not work. I even tried to send back the turbine for rebalancing but it came back that it was already balanced and fine. On my Rebel I solved it by switching to the SF16 and I added a former to the fuse just under the gyro. No more issues. It is more pronounced with the smoothflite 26 as it is more sensitive I believe than the SF16. The Rebel is almost a hollow tube and the lack of a former there made the resonance worse.

I think I will just add a foam wall to block out high pitched whine freq and try that.
