it looks like this is work from John at Matrix ... http://home.earthlink.net/~matrixmt/id11.html
.....and a "heads up" since i have already installed and fine tube the angles of that kind of gear...
as i write in my post #27 here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-j...minator-2.html
CARF manual says that you can adjust the link to get the angles right..i assure you this is >N O T< the way to go.
Adjusting that link and you changing at the same time "toe in/out" and "camber/caster angle" ending looking ugly and not tracking well.

Finished the final set up stages on Steve J's SU-27. Painted by Phil at Pinnacle, it has two JetCat P-180's JR 28X radio.
I've been working through Steve's build sorting the wing set up. The Slats took some time to get to where I was happy, two JR 6311's on each slat.
Test flight will be in the next couple of weeks, weather and venue allowing.

It will take two JetCat P-220Rxi's It wasn't designed for 100's CARF used 100's because in Germany they have a 25kg wet limit unless the airframes are structurally tested.
The 100's keep it light. In the UK we are 20kg dry, but the scheme to get a 20+kg model certified is not too bad, so I said to Steve use 180's as the type deserves the thrust and Steve is not a throttle switch pilot. I have another SU coming for a friend which will use 2 x JetCat P-140Rxi's as he has them available.

There is no 35. The 30 is shown above in Indian scheme ( canards) I have one of those coming to the UK for a friend.
There are other schemes being worked on, plus there are a good number of schemes out there that could be available as custom schemes ( quoted and painted by CARF)
I think Andreas intends to visit FJ with his if time allows

Can we order the SU30 with Canard in silver scheme? because I can't find it on the web site.
Regards.

Saw one of these fly for the first time last weekend. A pair of the new k120's installed.
We fly off grass all the time and it had plenty of power! Even on the uplines it kept accelerating away... not sure why you would need 180 or even 220 in there? Anyways super cool jet.
thanks

Yes, you can order SU-30 in Silver, the fuselage extension is a separate mould, they add to the SU-27.
Talk to Marc Hauss at MHM
To fly scale you need power, but yes its a fast prototype, so more energy to start with, the vector option steals power, so this is the reason...and hovering!
Maybe Andreas has his Vectored version at FJ this week.

These days with turbines varying in size and weight its difficult to quantify, it flies really well on two 100's when flying constant energy, but if you want to slow down and punch out more thrust is needed...you can always throttle back, the same is not true when you are firewalled and want more

Two 160's I'd say would be perfect.
