Yes what you say is true, but the ecu is a very important part of the running of a turbine, joe soap can by a gasper fadec off the shelf for €119 how much would HK pay for them if they order 500?

Even If HK can make their own ecu for $20 they would still be better to add the cost difference to the overall price of the turbine and gain first of all an ECU that is guaranteed to work, and second add a bit of credibility to the turbine which will eliminate the one negative of ''the ECU will probably go up in smoke like their cheap ESC's''.
$50ish on top of the price of the turbine would be worth four times that in how it is looked at in the market.
Ofcause useing the Gaspar electonics would be easier and probably better for the users used to xicoy, but don't we/they/the world loose some of the point of a HK turbine if in the end it's a MW54 with Gaspar electronics?

(in general HK ESCs work very well if used within spec... spec of the electronics not the manual that is)

If the end product is well w/n spec, then why are the ryobie drill presses have poor runout?
The lathes that come from harbor freight need some know how to run some good parts due to slop?
The tube notchers don't hit center ? These are right out of the box.
I agree on alloy of metals being key though.
Perhaps just do to the composition of metal of the machinery will dictate a outcome of how well it performs.
I unfortunately do not have first had experience with lathes and cnc machines so most of my knowledge is armchair viewing.
I would would really like to give it a go someday though.
Chears....

OMG Health & Safety, did you see the frosted LPG bottle fall over ?

And the flywheel nearly ground off the valve on the compressed air ( I hope it was acetylene) bottle.

We could make the turbines in the USA, but ask an insurance man or a lawyer how mutch it would cost per year for product insurance.

I'm not here to say anything bad about this turbine as I don’t know ant thing about it.
I will however say that before you buy this turbine you mite what to think about a few things.
1. Price compared to other brands. We all know that Kingtechhas have a relatively cheep turbine which is proven, and reliable.
2.Are parts available.
3. Where do I get it serviced. Who is willing to touch it.
4. Does it run as reliable as other proven turbines.
5. Can you get support if you have problems.
6. Are you willing to be the guinea pig until these turbines get a name for them selves.
7. Well if you are willing tobe a guinea pig lets hope that the name they get is a good one for your sake.
Sometimes but not always something cheep ends up being very expensive.
Just my 2cents worth to think about everyone.

Last reason Bruce said why he hasn't run the engine is that he didn't have any multiplex connectors and the ones he got were junk.
Sound like just another excuse to me. He's had the turbine for over a month now.
With all the anticipation going on, it makes one wonder what the real reasons is why no review yet, problems??????

Can't wait, so I wonder what has happened to Bruce and his one?, unless it is a timing ploy for marketing purposes.

Would'nt think so as bruce was apparently not sent a production turbine just one of their test units. It was also totally different (incl the electronics) to what they first published.
If production has started then obviously they must already be happy with the final unit.
